About Us
BHT Building Consultancy Ltd was founded in 2022 by Jack Margerrison BSc (Hons) MRICS and David Brackenridge BSc (Hons) MRICS . We are a firm of Chartered Building Surveyors, regulated by the RICS, providing a national service from our Leeds office and provide a comprehensive range of Building Surveying services.
On formation of BHT Building Consultancy Ltd, Lawson & Co merged with the new company. Lawson & Co was established in 1996 and Ian Lawson BSc FRICS MCIOB, has over 45 years experience in the property and construction industry. Ian joins as a consultant to add his comprehensive knowledge and expertise to the team. Ian is committed to providing a high quality service to reach and exceed client’s expectations.
Jack Margerrison has gained experience of working in all sectors of Commercial and Residential Surveying having worked for independent practices in the North-East and in Yorkshire. Jack graduated from Northumbria University in 2017 with a First-Class Honours Degree in Building Surveying and obtained his MRICS status in 2019.
Jack’s main specialisms include building surveys for investors and occupiers, project management, contract administration, feasibility studies, refurbishment and repair programmes for commercial and industrial properties, dilapidations, measured surveys and reinstatement cost assessments.
David Brackenridge is also one of the founders and a director of Brackenridge Hanson Tate Ltd, an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors established in 1998 providing Commercial Agency, Investment, Valuation, Asset Management and Property Management Services.
